So winning a duathlon is not something I'd suggest for most people. My roommate and myself are former division 1 athletes and just very athletic people in general. Both of us with plenty of time on our hand as a result of the shitty economy, we have the time needed to train for an athletic endevour of this magnitude. By my estimation we will be dedicating somewhere between 2-3 hour of intense training on a daily basis to to properly prepare to win our selected duathlon. The race we have decided to compete in is the Granite Bay Duathlon on April 18, this being out first day of training, we have 55 days to race day. This isn't to say we're completely out of shape to begin, we both play on multiple soccer teams and Brian completed a half marathon a few weeks ago. Hopefully the title of this blog holds true, we'll find out in 55 days.
DAY 1:
